The project entry takes into great consideration the traditions in the existing urban structure. The newly proposed spatial structure affirms the domination of the existing Municipality building.
Functionally the library is divided in two basic zones – book depository and reading area. Both are developed alongside in height with direct links between. Between the two basic functional areas is the mixed access zone with individual reading places and bookshelves with public access.
This principle of the functional structure contributes to the easy arrangement of the funds according to the rate of interest.
The project is developed in collaboration with the young and creative team of Arch Hristina Nikolova, Arch Maria Stojkova and Arch Darina Stojkova.
